I like vanilla protein powder in this recipe, but use whatever you like. The Forbes Health editorial team is independent and objective. You can buy the peanut butter powder online, or they also sell it at Costco and some grocery stores. ![]() (And of course a cute mason jar makes everything taste better.) This should keep you full and happy about the choices you’re making. That’s it! Blend all the ingredients with some ice and enjoy. – peanut butter powder is also great in oatmeal!) That being said, if all you have is regular peanut butter, don’t let that stop you from making a smoothie! Blend and Enjoy Get some! You can use regular peanut butter too, but it’s messy, and peanut butter powder has less fat and calories than the regular stuff. Now, for the fourth and most important ingredient. You don’t have to unthaw it, just use it right from the freezer each time you’re making a shake or using it in other recipes. Since you’re only using a few tablespoons at a time, this keeps it fresh and it lasts forever. Side note – I keep my flaxseed in the freezer. Flaxseed is good fiber, and also full of omega 3 fatty acids. Your third ingredient is ground flaxseed (make sure it’s ground so it blends easily into the shake). The protein powder will help keep you full, provide vitamins & minerals and repair/build muscle from the intense gym session you put in before sitting down to watch Eleven and friends keep the Upside Down at bay (Stranger Things, obviously). Everyone knows what works best for their system. I usually try to find one that’s organic and dairy free, but you do you. Next is your favorite vanilla protein powder. (Isn’t it crazy and awesome how many different types of milk there are?) If you’re using regular milk, you might want to add a dash of vanilla extract to your shake. The first ingredient you’ll need to choose is your milk “base.” I like vanilla soy or almond milk, but regular milk, oat milk, cashew milk, or whatever other milk you like will work. If purchased I would earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. *Affiliate links to products are provided for your convenience. File this peanut butter vanilla protein shake under “I need something good, and I need it fast!”. How about four ingredients to a quick (5 minutes!), easy (did I mention four ingredients?), filling (really!) and most importantly, delicious breakfast. Whatever the case may be, there is hope for your hungry, slow moving body. Or you woke up determined to start making healthy choices. Or you couldn’t sleep because you were contemplating the meaning of life. ![]() Maybe you’re tired because you binge watched Stranger Things the night before instead of doing your meal prep. Add ice and blend! 5 minutes is all you need for a delicious, healthy start to your day. Pour in your favorite milk, add peanut butter powder, vanilla protein powder & flaxseed. Quick, easy breakfast alert! My go-to peanut butter vanilla protein shake (that’s also yummy & filling). ![]()
